What is a Trust?
A trust is a relationship of three persons, each holding a separate position:
A creator, (aka Settlor or Trustor) who transfers assets into the trust.
A Trustee, who manages the assets.
A Beneficiary, who receives things from the trust.
The Creator holds the power to revoke and amend a revocable trust. There is no probate at the death of the Creator if he or she has transferred (re-titled) his or her assets into the trust.
